As Dare to Care works to better understand its neighbors, improve its practices and redefine food banking, the local nonprofit welcomes three integral new leadership team roles.
“Ann Brown, Dr. Ursula Mullins and Jacquelyne Richardson will play an important role in stewarding a new, more innovative approach to food banking for Kentuckiana,” said Vincent James, president, and chief executive officer of Dare to Care Food Bank. “Each of these women have shown a dedicated investment in the success of our communities through their work with our most vulnerable populations, government agencies and economic leaders. They are a welcome addition to our mission of ending hunger in Kentuckiana.”
Ann Brown joins Dare to Care with more than 15 years of human resources leadership experience, with special attention to talent acquisition and organizational development. In her new role as chief people officer, Brown will foster a diverse, equitable and effective environment, allowing Dare to Care to better serve its neighbors.
Dr. Ursula Mullins joined Dare to Care in December 2021 with an extensive background in government and non-profit sectors, from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to the Office of Performance Improvement. Mullin’s newly expanded role as chief impact officer will leverage her demonstrated expertise in shaping policies and initiatives to enhance the well-being of our communities.
Jacquelyne Richardson joins Dare to Care with many years of leadership experience developing and implementing programs, improving operations and connecting individuals and families to valuable resources that protect and promote their health and well-being. As the new director of programs and services, Richardson will oversee program development and implementation to better serve Dare to Care and its neighbors while emphasizing measurable outcomes.
As the need for food increases alongside its cost, Dare to Care maintains a well-informed and diverse leadership team to meet this growing challenge. In addition to the expertise and success Brown, Mullins, and Richardson have in their respective fields, their contribution to our community will be underscored by historic representation. This addition makes Dare to Care’s leadership team more diverse and representative of Kentuckiana than ever before.
“Dare to Care is redefining what it means to be a food bank. With the talent and expertise of each of these women we are better equipped to serve our community and conquer the cycle of need across Kentuckiana,” James said.
