Candace McGraw serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) for CVG Airport. CVG is an internationally award-winning airport in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, serving over 9 million passengers annually and generating billions of dollars in annual economic impact for the region. It has been 75 years since the first plane landed at CVG and since then, it has become one of the nation’s fastest-growing airports.  

McGraw was appointed CEO of CVG in July 2011. She brought over 25 years of experience in aviation, legal affairs, public administration and leadership. Under her leadership CVG has been recognized by Skytrax as the second-best airport in the world serving between 5 and 10 million passengers in 2021.  

McGraw has positioned CVG to become the epicenter of e-commerce for the United States with one of the largest cargo operations in North America. To McGraw, CVG is not just about planes, it is about the community of people that depend on the success of the airport and its employees.  

Born in Pittsburgh, McCraw has made Union, Kentucky her home. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Duquesne University. McGraw is chair of the Foundation board of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. She defines herself as resilient, always searching for new ways to change the world through aviation.
