Senior videographer Steven Richard (pronounced RE-shard) came to C2 with more than 15 years of experience as a video journalist. From covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to the pageantry of the Kentucky Derby, he honed his storytelling craft at TV news outlets around the South. His extensive work has been recognized with two regional Edward R. Murrow awards and 12 regional Emmy awards, as well as the title of Photographer of the Year from the Kentucky News Photographers Association.
Steven’s passion for telling stories with striking visuals and sound is what takes his work to the next level. As an FAA licensed drone pilot, the sky is now the limit on the creative possibilities he can bring to video production and still photography projects.
Originally from the bayou country of south Louisiana, Steven is a graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He returns home when he can to enjoy the company of his family and, of course, the amazing Cajun cuisine. In his free time, Steven can often be found photographing the landscapes and historic architecture of the region or touring a local bourbon distillery.
