Richard “Rick” Games

President and COO, Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation

Rick Games leads the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation (EHCIF) as president and chief operating officer. EHCIF offers a broad range of tailored services to meet the needs of its business partners. Since 1956, EHCIF’s primary mission has been to create jobs and elevate Hardin County as a top destination for industrial companies both nationally and internationally. Additionally, EHCIF manages Elizabethtown’s Industrial Parks and incubator space for growing organizations.

Games has served his community his entire professional career. Before leading EHCIF, he served as Elizabethtown fire chief for over 28 years. He joined EHCIF in 2001 and has been serving the community for 21 years.

In those 20-plus years, Games and his board of directors have worked tirelessly to bring large investment opportunities to Hardin County. In October of 2021 – with EHCIF’s collaboration – Ford announced its plans to build BlueOvalSK, a $5.8 billion battery plant in Hardin County, creating 5,000 new jobs for the community. BlueOvalSK is the single largest industrial investment in Kentucky’s history.
