Dr. Telly Sellars is Associate Vice President of Technical Education at Jefferson Community & Technical College (Jefferson) in Louisville. In this capacity, Sellars is charged with ensuring the delivery of high-quality, high-demand programs that open doors for students and meet the business needs of companies of all sizes.

Driven by the belief that “leaders are influencers who engage their community and find ways to make a positive impact on others around them,” Sellars is committed to helping change the lives of Kentuckians from all backgrounds. Prior to be named associate vice president, Sellars served in a variety of leadership positions in the education sector, including as Jefferson’s interim vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer, president of the Kentucky Academic Advising Association, Community and Technical College State Representative for the College Personnel Association of Kentucky, executive board member of the Cornerstone Child Development Center (Louisville, KY) and a member of the Transit Authority of River City’s Accessibility Quality Control Committee.

Outside of the classroom and administrative office, Sellars is a sought-after public speaker and is invited regularly to address national and regional conferences and professional development events.

Sellars currently lives in Simpsonville, Kentucky with his wife, Heather, and three daughters.
