President and CEO of Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce

Deana Epperly Karem leads the Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce, which was founded in 1963 and has since expanded its membership to over 1,000 members.

She became President and CEO in June 2020. Before becoming CEO, she spent nearly 30 years in community and economic development including serving as Senior Vice President of Regional Economic Growth at Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI), Kentucky’s largest business chamber.

Her work as CEO includes growing Jeffersontown’s local economy by building up relationships and networks for the members of the Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce. This includes overseeing Jeffersontown’s popular Gaslight Festival, which has been a local tradition for more than 50 years.

Karem is a graduate of the University of Louisville with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the university.
