Ashli Watts leads Kentucky’s largest business association, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber represents 3800 member businesses, from family-owned shops to Fortune 500 companies, that employ over half of the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s workforce.
She joined the Chamber team in 2012 and was named President and CEO in November 2019. Her time there has included passing significant pieces of legislation related to felony expungement, right to work and worker’s compensation reform. She was also part of the Chamber’s leadership team when the Kentucky Chamber was named National State Chamber of the Year in 2017.
Her work as head of the Kentucky Chamber supports the Chamber’s mission to support a dynamic business climate in the Commonwealth and advance Kentucky in order to accelerate business creation, recruitment, expansion, and retention.
Watts is a Campbellsville University graduate with a master’s degree from the University of Louisville. She resides in Frankfort with her husband and children.
