Hollenbach Oakley is pleased to announce it has been awarded the project management agreement for the construction of an expansion to the Midea America facility in Blankenbaker Station. Midea is a publicly listed Fortune 500 company and the world’s largest producer of home appliances. Blankenbaker Station is a 600-acre “Class A” business park with an abundance of first-class amenities and direct interstate access, making it Louisville’s premier business destination.
The expanded facility will be located at 2700 Chestnut Station Court, which is part of Phase III of the Blankenbaker Station project.
“We couldn’t be more excited to finalize this agreement with Midea America,” said John Hollenbach, Managing Partner of Hollenbach Oakley. “Midea is an incredible company that has already had great success at Blankenbaker Station. We can’t wait to get started on this massive new facility!”
Design plans are already in place for the new facility, which will expand its office and lab space for research and development. Midea expects to hire a total of 110 employees as part of its expansion at Blankenbaker Station, investing over $35.6 million in Jefferson County.
“Midea America continues to grow, and we’re so happy they’ve doubled down on their decision to do that right here at Blankenbaker Station,” said Greg Oakley, Managing Partner of Hollenbach Oakley. “Companies across the world are taking notice of everything Louisville has to offer, and this new facility is yet another example of the unquestionable appeal of our great city.”
Hollenbach Oakley will break ground for the project in late 2024. To stay up to date on this project, and to learn more about Blankenbaker Station, visit hollenbach-oakley.com.
