Tourism leader joins Kentuckians for Better Transportation as executive director

Kentuckians for Better Transportation (KBT) has named Jennifer Kirchner as its new executive director.

Kirchner is an accomplished economic development and communications leader. She served as executive director of the Danville Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau building partnerships and leading the organization in asset development, government and public relations, marketing and event management. The Indiana University grad is a board member for the Kentucky Travel Industry Association, a graduate of Leadership Kentucky and Leadership Boyle County.

KBT led an extensive search for its new leader to steer the statewide transportation organization toward its goals for 2021 and beyond. KBT advocates for all modes of transportation to shape sustainable economic development and quality life enhancements for Kentuckians.

One of her first tasks will be working with KBT on its annual conference in January 2021 where more than 500 industry professionals and members will gather virtually to network and learn about Kentucky’s transportation future.
