Chicago will potentially see a few changes after the development of a new think tank called the Discovery Partners Institute, a public-private partnership that will use land donated by Related Midwest in the city’s South Loop.
Through the Institute, students from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Chicago will have the opportunity to partner with corporate leaders to create new technologies. Mimicking the plans of P3s in Silicon Valley and Harvard University. The center will be used to research computing, big data, food and agriculture, and health and wellness.
