This month, the Flying Pig Marathon and Stock Yards Bank & Trust are teaming up for the 15th Annual Piggest Raffle Ever, which has garnered more than $900,000 for local charities since its inception. Stock Yards Bank & Trust will serve as the event’s presenting sponsor for the ninth consecutive year. Proceeds from raffle ticket purchases go directly to support local organizations making real changes in the tri-state community.

Doug Olberding, Chief Executive Officer, Pig Works, says, “We’re delighted to partner with Stock Yards Bank & Trust for this year’s Piggest Raffle Ever! This incredible event allows us to expand our philanthropic efforts, making a meaningful impact across Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and beyond. Together, we’re turning generosity into action, one pig at a time!”

Last year, Covington’s Cat Adoption Team received the grand prize and is using funds to help low-income cat owners with vetting and supplies so they may keep their precious fur friend.

 “We were thrilled to be the winning charity of the 2024 Piggest Raffle Ever! The money helped pay off our vet bill and continue to help low-income cat owners with vetting and supplies. We are thankful for a fundraiser that requires no overhead from us and little effort on our part, other than encouraging participation in it. We have participated every year and plan to continue to do so for years to come,” says Donna Lunik, Executive Director, the Cat Adoption Center.

Lunik adds, “Someone who bought a ticket from a few years back, got a lease on a car. Also, one of our organization volunteers, Jenni Crowley-Albu, received the honor of entering her dog “Levi” in the race as a Flying Furr ambassador.”

The Cat Adoption Center was one of many organizations that received much-needed funding. Also in 2024, the Ryle High School Athletic Boosters Club won the second-place prize.

In previous years, many great Cincinnati nonprofits have won the top prizes including Great Oaks West Clermont HOSA, American Council of the Blind of Ohio Greater Cincinnati, Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services and PSU, Inc. Racers and local residents can purchase raffle tickets for just $5 and designate a local nonprofit to receive 100% of ticket proceeds. In addition, three winners will receive prizes including:

    • Grand Prize: $5,000 to the ticket holder and an extra $5000 to the chosen charity;

    • Second Prize: $2,500 to the ticket holder and an extra $2,500 to the chosen charity and

    • Third Prize: A Cincinnati getaway experience for the ticketholder.

As the presenting sponsor and premier community bank, Stock Yards Bank & Trust works diligently to invest in the communities it serves. “We are proud to sponsor the Piggest Raffle Ever for the ninth consecutive year,” says Stephen Brown, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Market President for Stock Yards Bank & Trust. We are excited to support more than 90 nonprofit organizations that are all doing great work in our community.”
