Kentucky REALTORS® proudly presented the 2024 Jess Kinman Award to Senator Robby Mills in recognition of his commitment to housing policy and advocacy in February 2025.
“I’m honored to receive the 2024 Jess Kinman Award from Kentucky REALTORS® in recognition of my legislative efforts in real estate,” said Sen. Mills. “Addressing the housing shortage and improving tax policy across the Commonwealth are top priorities for me. Ensuring access to quality, affordable housing is essential for our communities, and I deeply appreciate the dedication of Kentucky REALTORS® who share this vision – especially those in my local community. Thank you for your support and commitment to strengthening Kentucky’s housing market.”
This distinguished honor, the highest legislative honor bestowed by Kentucky REALTORS®, is given annually to a legislator who exemplifies dedication to promoting homeownership in the Commonwealth. Recent past recipients include Rep. Michael Meredith (2023), Sen. Damon Thayer (2022) and Sen. Robert Stivers (2022).
“Kentucky REALTORS® is proud to honor Senator Robby Mills with the Jess Kinman Award,” said Kentucky REALTORS® President Barb Curtis. “His dedication to homeownership, private property rights and strong housing policies embodies the very essence of this award. We thank him for his efforts in ensuring that all Kentuckians have the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.”
Named in memory of Jess and Carolyn Kinman, the award celebrates their lasting legacy of service. Jess Kinman, former Kentucky REALTORS® president and REALTOR® of the Year, was a tireless advocate for real estate professionals before his passing in 2007. His wife, Carolyn Kinman, dedicated many years of service to the Legislative Research Commission (LRC) and General Assembly, further strengthening their commitment to public service.
As part of the recognition, First Federal Savings Bank will contribute $500 to a charity of Sen. Mills’ choosing, furthering the spirit of service that this award represents.
