Public, Private Sector Join to Create Hospitality-Office Development – and Jobs
State and local officials expect a mixed-use development in Marlborough, Mass., to create 1,600 jobs when it opens in October. The 475,000-square-foot Apex Center is the result of a public-private partnership that brought together city and private investors – and nearly 400 jobs for construction.
The center will have 11 building, including an entertainment complex, hotels, restaurants, retail stores and offices. ““This is a proud moment for our Commonwealth,” Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito said during a tour. “My colleagues in the legislature and city officials and the municipal government here are coming together with the private sector to unleash an incredible opportunity here.’
