Public-Private Partnership Could Benefit Virginia Beach VA Clinic

Virginia Rep. Scott Taylor is advocating for the construction of a much larger, improved VA outpatient clinic in Virginia Beach with the help of local officials and Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms.
Following recent legislation passed by Congress, $18.14 million was allocated to fund a larger VA clinic in South Hamptons. The city will provide land for the project while the search continues to find a developer to build the clinic.
The VA would lease the facility from the developer.
“It fits like a glove” in the bio-science area of development near the municipal complex, The Virginian Pilot quoted Sessoms as saying. “It certainly is something I will support.”
