Beginning this fall, travelers will be able to fly direct from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Allegiant Air is offering the route twice weekly, Thursdays and Sundays, beginning November 18, 2021.
“We are grateful that Allegiant sees the strength of the Louisville market and continues to invest in our community with service to Austin.”
Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority
Austin is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country and is a popular destination for both business and tourism. Last year, the New York Times featured Austin as one of the world’s top 52 places to visit.
As one of the largest underserved markets for SDF, the new service marks an important step in increasing Louisville’s connectivity around the country. The flight also marks a new record for SDF: 36 nonstop destinations.
“There is a lot of positive momentum at SDF as we continue to see robust air service growth and passenger traffic climbing to near-record levels. The announcement from Allegiant is another great win for area travelers and we appreciate their ongoing commitment to the airport.”
