The Maryland Department of Transportation I-495 and I-270 project is moving forward following the State Highway Administration’s release of a request for proposal (RFP) for general engineering consultant service providers. According to a report from P3 Bulletin, a public-private-partnership (P3) contract will include comprehensive engineering and support for the I-495 and I-270 project.
Valued at $90 million, the five-year contract will lead to the expansion of the highway by adding more lanes and improving one of the most congested areas in the country.
Proposals are due by Sept. 6 and a pre-proposal meeting will be held Aug. 15.
