he COVID-19 pandemic has been hard for all types of businesses, especially Kentucky’s smaller employers. One light in this difficult time has been the ability to receive Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans from the federal government.
Many of Kentucky small businesses are singing the praises of one Kentucky bank for holding their hand through the loan process and securing much-needed funding. Republic Bank helped retain nearly 40,000 jobs in Kentucky through PPP loans, the most of any bank in the Commonwealth. It helped small businesses here retain more than 62,000 jobs securing more than $520 million dollars for 3700 small businesses.
The Bank’s quick response and proactive communications made the difference for customers trying to navigate the Small Business Administration PPP loan process. Dedicated loan officers became a lifeline to small businesses in need of funding to stay afloat. Louisville Business First recently awarded Republic Bank its inaugural Business Impact Award for the proactive measures it took during the pandemic to support its employees and the community.
