Work on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s I-Move Kentucky project begins next week. The four-year project will add lane capacity and upgrade major interchanges on interstates I-265, I-71 and I-64 in Jefferson and Oldham counties.
Contractors will start work along portions of the project corridor including clearing areas along I-71 and the interchanges in preparation for construction. KYTC is urging motorists to use caution when traveling through the project area.
Construction will begin in the coming months. The entire I-Move project is scheduled to be completed by 2023. Safety and mobility are key priorities for the $180 million construction project.
