Last week, Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) hosted its second annual Innovation Tour at River Ridge Commerce Center.
This year’s event focused on businesses and industries based in southern Indiana that are making impacts in their industries. Forty local business leaders heard from nine different speakers, sharing how they are continuing to innovate and support regional growth.
Innovation Tour destinations
The two-day tour included six stops and nine speakers from groups including America Place, Techshot, Samtec, Mister “P” Express, American Air Filter Flanders, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, Render Capital, Hemprise and River Ridge Development Authority.
Sponsors included Hollenbach-Oakley, Ivy Tech Community College and Kelley Construction. Partners included: River Ridge Commerce Center and One Southern Indiana.
The tour included many interactive elements including trying the Mister “P” truck-driving simulator and touring Hemprise’s brand-new CBD production facility.

The event also included daily debriefs where participants discussed the importance of innovation and collaboration and how partnerships across the river can make our entire region even stronger.
