Looking for a way to spend the holiday weekend? We’ve compiled a list of Fourth of July celebrations all across the state.
Louisville
Riverview Independence Festival – July 1
Watch the Ohio River come to life with food, live music and fun activities! The festival begins at 5 p.m. and will finish with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Red, White & Brew – July 3
Enjoy live music, brews and food at 6 p.m. at Pope Lick Park, followed by a special feature of Independence Day on a 40-foot movie screen.
Waterfront Park Fourth of July with the Louisville Orchestra – July 4
Celebrate Fourth of July with the Louisville Orchestra! Enjoy activities from 5 p.m. until Louisville Orchestra performs at 8:30 p.m. End the night with a bang with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise – July 4
Enjoy the fireworks at Waterfront Park from the river! The cruise is from 8:30 – 10:30 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be on board.
Central Kentucky
Berea
Fourth of July Spectacular – July 4
Enjoy activities for kids, food trucks and live music starting at 6 p.m. Fireworks will conclude the festivities at 10 p.m.
Frankfort
Fireworks – July 4
The Frankfort Veterans and Foreign Wars Post 4075 will host their annual fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. in downtown Frankfort.
Georgetown
Parade and Fireworks – July 4
Enjoy the Fourth of July parade on Main Street beginning at 11 a.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “Dreams Come True in Red, White and Blue.” Fireworks will begin around dusk in Brooking Park!
Harrodsburg
Red, White and Boom – July 3
Fireworks in the Burg at Anderson Dean Park will begin at dusk around 7 p.m. and can be seen all over Mercer County!
Lexington
Red, White & Blues – July 1
Enjoy food trucks, drinks and blues performances from Willie Eames and Tee Dee Young at Moondance Amphitheater from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
Ice Cream Social – July 2
Head to Henry A. Tandy Centennial Park for a sweet treat, live music and children’s activities from 1 – 4 p.m.
Patriotic Concert – July 3
Spend the evening celebrating the U.S.A. with Lexington Philharmonic! Bring blankets and lawn chairs to Transylvania University and Gratz Park for the pre-show from 5 – 7 p.m. Stick around for the main show, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
Bluegrass 10K and Fun Run – July 4
Kick off the holiday at the 47th annual Bluegrass 10K and 1-mile Fun Run! The Bluegrass 10K starts at 7:25 a.m. and the Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of Main Street and North Limestone. Registration is still open for the 10K, Fun Run, wheelchair race option and virtual race option.
Fourth of July Festival and Market – July 4
Enjoy shopping, food and drinks, live music and children’s activities from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Courthouse Plaza and 5/3 Pavilion at Henry A. Tandy Centennial Park.
Fourth of July Parade – July 4
Don’t miss the annual Fourth of July parade through downtown Lexington! The parade steps off at noon and will move down Main Street from Midland Avenue to Mill Street.
Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular – July 4
End the holiday weekend with a bang! The Fourth of July fireworks will begin around 10 p.m. at Main Street and Oliver Lewis Way.
Midway and Versailles
Fourth of July Bash and Fireworks – July 4
Spend the holiday at Fallings Springs Park with over 20 vendors to discover, activities for kids, live music, contest and giveaways. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and will wrap up with fireworks at dusk!
Nicholasville
Fireworks – July 4
Free but limited parking will be available on the R.J. Corman property for the public to enjoy the fireworks. No ticket is required for entry and the gate will be open from 8 – 9:30 p.m. or until capacity is reached.
Radcliff
Thunder over Radcliff – July 3
Bring a lawn chair to enjoy Radcliff’s annual Fourth of July celebration with on-site food and fireworks from 7 – 10 p.m.
Richmond
Fourth of July Celebration – July 4
Enjoy live music performances, Paradise Cove free swim, free Adventure Falls mini golf, inflatables, food trucks and more at Lake Reba Recreational Complex from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Finish the night with a fireworks show from 10 – 11 p.m.
Wilmore
Parade and Festival – July 4
Wilmore’s Fourth of July parade will begin at 10 a.m. and will be followed by the festival.
Winchester
Lights over Lykins – July 4
Explore activities for the whole family, including mechanical animals and Foam Fest! Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks will end the night at 10 p.m.
Eastern Kentucky
Ashland
Summer Motion – June 30 to July 4
Enjoy free concerts every day from country, rock and contemporary Christian bands starting at 7:15 p.m. at the Ashland Riverfront! The weekend concludes with Fourth of July fireworks at 10:15 p.m. on July 4.
Hazard
Hazard’s Fourth of July Celebration – July 2
Celebrate the holiday weekend at Hazard City Hall Picnic Shelter with a fish fry and cookout at 11 a.m. and fireworks around 10 p.m.
Northern Kentucky
Covington
Fourth of July Festival – July 4
The Sisters of Notre Dame present the 101st Fourth of July Festival in Covington! Activities include live entertainment, children’s games, raffles, silent actions, Fourth of July Market, food trucks and more from 1 – 6 p.m.
Fort Mitchell
Independence Day Parade – July 4
Enjoy the Fourth of July parade in Fort Mitchell! The parade will go from Orphanage Road to Dixie Highway to Beechwood Road and will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Newport
Red, White & BOOM! – July 4
Enjoy a showcase by the Cincinnati Pops of American favorites at Riverbend Music Center. Be sure to stick around for the post-concert fireworks show!
Western Kentucky
Bowling Green
Thunderfest – July 1
Celebrate the Fourth of July at the National Corvette Museum! Pack the car and enjoy activities for kids, food, drinks, live music from 4 p.m. until the fireworks extravaganza at 9:30 p.m.
Calvert City
Veterans Brunch – July 2
Join local veterans for brunch at the Lakeland Events Center and express your gratitude to those who have served our country.
Ameribration Celebration – July 4
Celebrate Fourth of July all day with vendors, food trucks, live music, a corn hole tournament, a parade and fireworks!
Campbellsville
Fourth of July Festival – June 30 to July 4
With a “Family, Freedom and Fun” theme, celebrate all weekend long in Campbellsville with the Stay Well 5K/10K, activities, live music and more!
Eddyville
Fireworks at Holiday Hills Resort – June 30
Enjoy fireworks at dusk on Lake Barkley! Watching the show from the lake is encouraged due to limited parking at the resort.

Murray
Freedom Fest – June 30 to July 4
Celebrate the entire holiday weekend with events throughout Murray! The festivities will conclude on July 4 with a parade on Main Street starting at 9:30 a.m. Don’t miss the Murray Bank Fireworks Extravaganza at 9 p.m.
Paducah
Independence Day Celebration – July 4
Explore food vendors and live music in the Farmer’s Market Pavilion starting at 5 p.m. Finish the night with fireworks after the J.D. Shelburne concert!
