Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield Medicaid will be host “Dental Days” events throughout Kentucky this October to provide members with FREE dental screenings and cleanings.
According to the CDC, more than half of Kentuckians over the age of 65 have lost at least six teeth because of dental decay or gum disease, with at least 20% having lost all of their teeth. Furthermore, approximately 18% of all working-age adults and 29% of individuals with lower incomes say the appearance of their mouth and teeth impacts their ability to apply for a job.
Maintaining a healthy smile requires more than just brushing and flossing. Preventative measures such as regular teeth cleanings and dental screenings can help Kentuckians avoid pain, discomfort and expensive treatments in the future.
Anthem Medicaid members can receive their free dental screening and cleaning at any of the following “Dental Days” events:
