Churchill Downs begins work next month on a $300 million project that includes a hotel, racing machines, new seating and a Millionaires Row renovation.
Leaders announced $750 million in upcoming projects, as well as 1,000 jobs. The largest of the projects is a $220 million maintenance facility.
Plans include replacing the current grandstand with a $150 million racing and gambling facility. “Our team is poised to restore Turfway to its former glory,” said Churchill Downs president Kevin Flanery.
